Subversion Submitted to Become a Project at The Apache Software Foundation
The CollabNet-sponsored Subversion project and The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) announced today that the award-winning Open Source project has formally submitted itself to the Apache Incubator in order to become part of the Foundation's efforts. Read the Press Release
Free Live Video Streaming of ApacheCon Hadoop, HTTP Server, and Lucene Track
Don't miss our FREE ApacheCon US live video streams. On Wednesday, the Apache Hadoop track will be streamed live. On Thursday, it's httpd.conf, the track for Apache HTTPD administrators and users. And on Friday, check out the Apache Lucene track. You'll also be able to watch the Apache Pioneer's Panel, and keynote presentations by Kirrily Robert and Brian Behlendorf. The recorded video streams will be made available a few days after the conference.
ApacheCon US 2009 in Oakland!
Join us at the official ASF user conference, trainings, and expo 2-6 November 2009 in Oakland, California. This year's event features the most comprehensive program to date, with world-class keynote addresses, nearly 100 training hours, more than 80 presentations, dozens of Fast Feather sessions on emerging technologies from the ASF Incubator, plus dedicated Apache UnConferences, project-specific MeetUps, and impromptu and entertaining Lightning Talks.
Many sessions are open to the general public, including the 2-day BarCampApache, select evening social events, Birds of a Feather gatherings, and the Hackathon, where attendees can collaborate on various code bases alongside ASF Committers. ApacheCon US 2009 is expected to be the largest gathering of the global Apache community, where the Foundation's landmark 10th Anniversary celebrations culminate with the Big Feather Birthday Bash.
